About the Center
The INNOVAE Center for Entrepreneurial Business Architecture (CEBA) is a research center dedicated to the systematic study of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial development, enterprise creation, and business transformation, and to the continuing development of Entrepreneurial Business Architecture (EBA). The Center was established around a fundamental question: how can individuals deliberately develop themselves as entrepreneurs and transform opportunities into enterprises capable of creating sustainable economic and social value? CEBA approaches entrepreneurship not as an isolated act of starting a business, but as a complex developmental process involving the entrepreneur, the opportunity, the enterprise, the market, and the environment in which entrepreneurial activity occurs.
The Center investigates entrepreneurship from historical, economic, behavioral, strategic, technological, institutional, and practical perspectives. Its research examines entrepreneurial individuals and capabilities, opportunity discovery, startup formation, business models, business presence, market creation and development, growth and scale, innovation, entrepreneurial ecosystems, institutions, industries, and economic transformation. CEBA also studies the experiences of entrepreneurs, enterprises, cities, regions, and countries to understand how entrepreneurial capabilities emerge, how businesses develop, why some enterprises succeed or fail, and how entrepreneurship contributes to broader processes of economic and social development.
At the heart of the Center is Entrepreneurial Business Architecture, an emerging discipline developed at INNOVAE to organize fragmented entrepreneurial knowledge into a coherent and applicable architecture. EBA examines the complete entrepreneurial journey through its interconnected components: Entrepreneurial Life Reset, Entrepreneurial Life Architecture, Entrepreneurial Capability Architecture, Entrepreneurial Opportunity Discovery Architecture, Entrepreneurial Startup Architecture, Entrepreneurial Online Business Presence Architecture, Entrepreneurial Market Development Architecture, Entrepreneurial Scale Architecture, The Entrepreneurial Business Architect, and Entrepreneurial Business Architecture. Together, these components provide an integrated architecture connecting the development of the individual with the deliberate creation and development of enterprises.
CEBA operates on a fundamental INNOVAE principle: research discovers, reconstructs, and contrasts knowledge; architecture refines, organizes, integrates, and transforms that knowledge into an applicable system. Entrepreneurial Business Architecture is therefore not treated as a closed or static framework. It is continuously developed through historical investigation, interdisciplinary research, observation of entrepreneurial environments, analysis of real enterprises and entrepreneurs, practical application, documentation, and critical examination. New discoveries can challenge existing assumptions, reveal missing components, and progressively strengthen the architecture.
The Center forms part of the broader intellectual ecosystem of INNOVAE School, whose mission is the social and economic transformation of individuals through personal development and entrepreneurship. Within this ecosystem, the Center for Personal Success Architecture (CPSA) investigates the foundations of personal development and human success; CEBA concentrates on developing the entrepreneur and the enterprise; and the Center for Social and Economic Transformation (CSET) investigates how developed individuals, entrepreneurs, enterprises, and communities can contribute to wider transformation. This relationship reflects a central INNOVAE progression: develop the person, develop the entrepreneur, transform society.
The ambition of CEBA extends beyond studying entrepreneurship as an academic subject. Its purpose is to understand entrepreneurship deeply enough to develop a practical architecture for creating entrepreneurs and building enterprises. Through its research, publications, articles, books, projects, and educational development, CEBA seeks to build an expanding body of knowledge capable of helping individuals discover opportunities, develop entrepreneurial capabilities, create businesses, build markets, scale enterprises, and become Entrepreneurial Business Architects capable of creating lasting economic and social value.
