INNOVAE Center for Entrepreneurial Business Architecture
The INNOVAE Center for Entrepreneurial Business Architecture (CEBA) is dedicated to the systematic study of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs, and enterprise development, and to the continuing development of Entrepreneurial Business Architecture (EBA). At the center of our work is a fundamental question: how can individuals deliberately develop themselves as entrepreneurs and transform opportunities into businesses capable of creating sustainable economic and social value? CEBA investigates entrepreneurship not simply as the act of starting a company, but as a developmental process through which people discover opportunities, mobilize capabilities and resources, create enterprises, develop markets, and progressively build organizations capable of growth and transformation.
Our research explores the history, evolution, theory, practice, and architecture of entrepreneurship and enterprise creation. It examines entrepreneurial individuals and capabilities, opportunity discovery, business creation, digital and physical business presence, market development, growth and scale, entrepreneurial ecosystems, institutions, economic environments, technological change, and the forces that shape the development of enterprises across different societies and historical periods. CEBA also studies entrepreneurs, companies, industries, cities, regions, and countries as real environments through which entrepreneurial knowledge can be discovered, compared, tested, and refined.
This research provides the intellectual foundation for Entrepreneurial Business Architecture (EBA), an emerging discipline developed at INNOVAE to transform fragmented knowledge about entrepreneurship into a coherent and applicable architecture for entrepreneurial development and enterprise building. EBA follows the entrepreneur from the transformation of the individual and the development of entrepreneurial capabilities through opportunity discovery, startup creation, business presence, market development, growth, and scale, ultimately developing the individual as an Entrepreneurial Business Architect capable of deliberately designing, building, developing, and transforming enterprises.
CEBA is therefore more than a center for studying entrepreneurship. It is a living research environment in which Entrepreneurial Business Architecture is continuously researched, documented, challenged, refined, applied, and expanded. Through the research, publications, articles, books, projects, and conversations published here, CEBA documents the continuing development of a discipline built around one central ambition: to understand entrepreneurship deeply enough to transform that knowledge into an architecture capable of developing entrepreneurs, building enterprises, creating economic and social value, and contributing to the transformation of individuals and societies.
